MS SharePoint vs. Atlassian Confluence: Do you really enjoy being caught out by high license fees?

Before taking on an intranet project, you really want to know what software license fees to take into account. Go ahead and call your trusted SharePoint consultant: “I want to set up a SharePoint-based intranet for 500 staff – what license fees do I need to reckon with?” You’ll get numerous ifs and buts but no specific figures.

Launch campaigns drive the success of company wikis

Writing tools

An enterprise wiki, intranet or knowledge base is most successful when many employees actively use it, driving a good return on your investment. Employees will rarely immediately or actively use their new wiki if their company only runs an automated introduction. A targeted wiki launch campaign can help to advertise the wiki, and create the best conditions for successfully establishing it throughout the company.

Linchpin and the central Linchpin components are now Confluence Data Center compatible

With Confluence Data Center, Atlassian is addressing the increasing technical requirements that large companies are placing on their internal software systems. This includes straightforward and fast scalability, high availability and performance even under heavy use and the reduction of unforeseen and planned downtime. In recent weeks, our product teams have worked intensively to make our own products meet these requirements: The key components of our Confluence-based social intranet suite Linchpin are now Data Center compatible!

“I intend to…”- Why modern companies need a culture of empowerment

In the best case, the typical ‘business theater’ in classical companies is a waste of potential and working time. In the worst case, however, it can also be dangerous for the whole organization. If employees are empowered to think for themselves and take on responsibility and initiative, they will make wise decisions and contribute to a more modern, flexible organization, collaborating more closely with customers, and be better equipped to  handle complexity. What keeps you from promoting a culture of empowerment and using statements like “I intend to…” in your company?

Our project for “Wiesbaden Engagiert!” 2017: We are building a website

We decided to work on a website project with the Friedrich von Bodelschwingh school, a special school focusing on physical and motor development.
