Organize internal events easily in Confluence
Organizations hold internal events every day: meetings, training sessions or other educational events, team events and many more. It makes life easier for the event organizers when participants can register in advance. The Easy Events app makes it easy to organize events and their participants using Confluence.
You can integrate an Easy Events macro into any Confluence page to display the time, location, and type of event as well as any important information that participants need to know. Users can register to participate and or, if they no longer can attend the event, deregister easily. Depending on the event settings, users directly register other participants, or invite them to register to attend. You can also limit the number of participants, and provide waiting lists when the event is full, or create events that you can't register for which are view-only. You can also choose to display or hide specific event information.
Automatically generated list and calendar views provide a compact overview of upcoming events. Easy Events sends email notifications to participants automatically (for example, when event details are changed), and integrates with popular calendar software programs and services.
The app has a great range of features and functionality that give you flexibility when organizing events. But until now, events in Easy Events were limited to a single day. Not any more!
New: Multi-day events are now supported by Easy Events
Events are just as varied as companies - from 15 minute weekly du jour fixes through to events that run over several days. Conferences, especially when travelling is involved, run often over many days to a week, as do workshops covering complex topics. Strategic discussion in many organizations regularly take longer than one day. Or perhaps IT services wants to get a team together to spend a weekend maintaining and updating a complex system.
In this new version, Easy Events supports events that run over several days in a row. You will see an updated dialog when you configure the Event macro, where you can specify a start and end date for your event. Of course, multi-day events will also be displayed clearly in the list and calendar views.
Easy Events for Confluence now offers even more flexibility and supports events more realistically, without requiring any rough workarounds.
