Our Linchpin team is always continuously working on bringing you new Linchpin Intranet Suite features, in ten-week release cycles. A considerable part of that is your feedback. We always try and deliver new features for the end-user as well as efficiency upgrades for the administrators amongst you.

Here's an overview of what you can expect with the release of Linchpin Intranet Suite 3.4, coming to you in August...

Linking Blueprint Creator with Linchpin Enterprise News

Blueprint Creator for Confluence is an extension app that allows users to create individual Confluence blueprints that serve as standardized templates for pages or entire sections without the need for extensive programming. The upcoming integration of Blueprint Creator with Linchpin's news features will allow news writers to standardize their stories.

Option to upload graphics in the news magazine

In Autumn of last year, we released the News Magazine feature in version 2.0 of Linchpin Intranet Suite. As the name suggests, the News Magazine features magazine-like pages similar to modern news websites. It's an ideal way for users to create stories that grab attention with focused topics. In the future, writers will have even more creative freedom. With the new graphics upload module, users can make their news more visually attractive by displaying an image or header instead of just the title of the article.

Improved org charts in user profiles

Time and time again, we've seen that many of our users need to display org charts on their Intranet. Currently, Linchpin User Profiles offers a simple solution for org charts to visualize a user's position in their company hierarchy. However, the current, limited possibilities of this feature are often not sufficient to display really appropriate and useful visualizations. This is where we want to implement more advanced functions to significantly enhance the org charts in Linchpin User Profiles.

Setup Assistant

In the last release of the Linchpin suite, we already delivered end-user functionality and also focused on making administrators' work easier. Continuing on that track, want to provide a setup wizard that helps admins to configure Linchpin with the essential functions so that they can start with demo content and a functional dashboard in just a few minutes directly after installation.

Data Center release for Space Privacy

Many Linchpin Suite customers also use the Space Privacy solution. Space Privacy allows protected collaboration with external users in a Confluence-based extranet. Of course, these customers can only migrate to Atlassian Data Center if Space Privacy works in the data center environment. That's why one of our teams is currently working on getting Space Privacy ready for data centers and obtaining the appropriate clearance from Atlassian.

Linchpin as a Service (LaaS)

Linchpin will soon have an alternative operating and cost model. Linchpin as a Service will give customers who want the full functionality and flexibility of a server-based Linchpin solution, but cannot or do not want to host it themselves, a working Linchpin Intranet Suite instance within minutes. The customer receives a fully-fledged intranet system that is pre-configured up to a certain point, which can then be used immediately and without a substantial initial administrative investment. LaaS will be available on a subscription basis.

We are currently creating a portal that potential customers can log into if they are interested in more information and wish to purchase the Linchpin intranet Suite based on the service model.
