We are delighted to congratulate BSH Home Appliances, winner of this year's Inkometa Award in the Social Intranet / Collaboration category for its Linchpin intranet!
The Inkometa Award represents one of the most important awards for internal communication in Germany, organized by SCM - the School for Communication and Management. Since 2018, the award has been presented in the categories of Media, Strategy, Campaign, Intranet & Digital Workspace, and International Internal Communication.
This award is also something very special to us. That's because, together with our partner XALT, BSH Home Appliances introduced the Linchpin Intranet Suite at the company. This intranet solution offers its employees a fully personalized collaboration platform, connecting teams, locations, tools, and employees. We are therefore very honored that this very social intranet has now won the Inkometa Award.
A look at how the project progressed
Prior to the introduction of Linchpin at BSH Home Appliances, a system was in use that was outdated in many places. Instead of a dynamic, modern intranet with social functions such as liking and commenting, the previous system was characterized by top-down communication, a lack of flexibility, and a missing mobile application.
Key requirements were therefore the ability to personalize, collaborate and interact socially, and distribute knowledge throughout the company. In addition, the software should be available to all users worldwide, whether from within the company, externally, or from a mobile device.
Right on the start page, BSH Home Appliances relies not only on a customizable app area that provides quick access to all the important tools needed in daily work, but also on a key integration of company news. These can be translated on the BSH intranet, and different language versions can be linked directly. In addition, authors can freely determine the publication date, pin particularly important news items and configure their News feed with the help of categories.
The BSH intranet from Linchpin now provides an entry point for more than 60,000 employees worldwide and is available in 51 countries in 25 different languages.
