Linchpin Essentials 2.7, the smaller sister of the powerful Intranet Suite, is also available now on the Marketplace.
As before, we were inspired by the ideas and wishes of our customer community. For this purpose, we went to our feedback & ideas board for feature casting.
Automatic event reminders
Whether it's to the Oscars or the Golden Globes - thanks to this feature, no one will miss the watch party at the office! With the automatic event reminders, you as the event organizer can remind even the most chronic slackers of the upcoming event in time - or to bring snacks. No matter on which day and at which time: It's up to you what you want to tell the participants.
Waiting lists for fully booked events
Picture this: You've got yourself all dressed up again and you're ready to give the after-show party a good whirl. But oh my... there's a huge line before the entrance and no end in sight. I guess that means back to the sofa, right?
Not with the Linchpin Intranet Suite! As soon as an event is fully booked, you can put your name on the waiting list with just one click and automatically move up as soon as a place becomes available. So you can get in without having to wake up your inner diva.
Deactivate registrations for past events
The Oscar party was a huge success and you want to send George Clooney & Co. a follow-up email with the best selfies. How good it is that your guest list is always up to date - or is it? Thanks to the new feature - definitely!
With Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.7, participants of past events - which you can now find very conveniently via their own tab in the event area - can no longer subsequently change the attendance list or interact with the event in the form of registrations or cancellations, which gives you as an organizer more certainty and a better data basis for follow-ups.
Administrators and event organizers can, of course, continue to make changes to the participation list as they wish.
Read mandatory news later
News happens all the time, not only in Hollywood, but also in the company. That's why it's important to ensure that particularly relevant news is also read by everyone. A pop-up window that reopens after every click in the system is not always effective.
With Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.7, that pop-up is a thing of the past! With just two clicks, you can decide whether you want to read mandatory messages in an hour or even the next day. To make sure you don't forget, Linchpin will remind you to read again - but no longer with every click! 🙂
Re-use images from local galleries for events & news
Turn your Confluence pages into a permanent image gallery! With the Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.7 update, you can easily use the images you've already gathered in Linchpin for news and events in your intranet over and over again.
How does this work? Quite simple: If you haven't done so already, create a Confluence page and fill it with images of your choice. This page then becomes your own self-made gallery that you and your colleagues can use again and again for news or events in Linchpin without having to constantly search for and upload new images.
With this new update, we integrated an image search right into the news and event editor. This way, you can quickly and effectively implement your company branding in your own intranet, even with images.
It's up to you how you want to make the most of this feature on your intranet. You can give the different image collections any name you want, making the albums very easy to use for your colleagues. In addition, you can decide whether everyone or only the editorial team should have access to certain content.
Send multiple individual newsletters
Welcome back from your well-deserved vacation! I'm sure you'd like to get up to date, but with all the new colleagues and countless news, it might take a while, right? Don't worry, with the brand new Linchpin Suite Update 5.7 this is no longer a problem! 🥳
Now you and your colleagues can receive not just one, but several different newsletters via email, providing you with the most important information from your intranet. And the best part? You can completely customize how often you receive which newsletter and which topics are relevant to you.
Whether it's about employee features, company news, events or training, now you can keep up to date with your colleagues and improve the exchange of information within the company.
The new, powerful people search macro
Wondering which target groups would make sense for your new internal newsletter?
Then we have even more good news for you! With Linchpin Intranet Suite 5.7 your intranet gets a brand new people search macro.
With the new feature, you can generate searchable or static profile lists - and decide for yourself whether you want to display all users logged into the system, or whether you'd rather define a subset of your colleagues for each macro individually.
This way you can create several useful overviews in no time at all, like:
- a list of upcoming birthdays
- upcoming and/or past anniversaries
- searchable lists with the respective event organizational crews of your events
- smart overviews of colleagues, separated by language or location
- ... or also by competence, certification, favorite cake, or your desired criterion - if there's a profile field for it, you can use it as a filter in the new macro 🙂
