The novel coronavirus COVID-19 has had us on tenterhooks since 2020 began. Home office is no longer something that’s “nice to have” but a necessity to support the containment of this pandemic. Here we look at some of the approaches we are currently using at //SEIBERT/MEDIA to make the most of the exceptional circumstances we find ourselves in!
Project hierarchies – How to implement the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) with the Atlassian Tools Confluence & Jira
What is SAFe®?
SAFe® is designed to tame the scope of agile processes beyond the actual development teams. You could describe it as a way to make product development agile throughout the entire company. A Scaled Agile Framework provides a structure that is not limited to the team level but also integrates programs, larger solutions, and portfolios right up to practices that are integrated into the fabric of the entire organization.
NGK Spark Plugs: a Google G Suite success story
NGK Spark Plugs is one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers. While the staff at the headquarters in Japan had already experienced Google G Suite, the EMEA region was working with a mail server that was becoming increasingly outdated. //SEIBERT/MEDIA is a German Google partner, and so we supported the introduction of G Suite in NGK Spark Plugs’ EMEA offices.
Sustainability Management at Seibert Media
Our aim was to get involved in the general conversation about sustainability, to signal our commitment to sustainability so that it’s recognized internally, and to establish regional contacts in order to learn and exchange ideas together. We here in the organizational team were very happy to receive the positive feedback and animated discussions that came from the event. Our plan is to hold two more Meetups this year.
Agile Hive: PI Planning in the time of Covid-19
The COVID-19 Coronavirus is forcing agile communities to consider adopting a course of action we would normally reject: to avoid meeting in person when possible, especially with regards to gathering in big crowds. Under these circumstances, we must rethink strategies such as Program Increment (PI) Planning, a critical element of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

We’re happy to announce the release of the new version of the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe®, version 5.0, which aims to help companies scale agile principles and methods beyond agile IT and development teams to the entire organization. Onboarding all employees to the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe® requires a comprehensive and detailed plan, and ours has now been extensively updated and supplemented. In this short overview we’ll show you what we’ve changed in SAFe® version 5.0 and how Agile Hive – SAFe® with Atlassian Tools supports you as you map your SAFe® implementation.
Building an Onboarding Portal in Confluence with Blueprint Creator Templates
Confluence is the perfect solution for your knowledge management and documenting tasks. Teams and companies also need knowledge management and documentation, and that’s why these are the main use cases for Atlassian’s collaboration software and wiki platform. Alternatively, there are several other interesting scenarios where Confluence can also be used sensibly and profitably, including HR processes such as onboarding and training new employees.

Looking back at Tools4AgileTeams 2019
At the end of 2019 our annual conference, Tools4AgileTeams, took place. It started as an open-ended experiment aimed at bringing Agile enthusiasts from the Rhine-Main region together in order to learn from one another. Today it’s considered to be a tradition and has long since become a permanent fixture in events calendars across the German-speaking Agile community.
