Depending on the industry and the organization, there are various obligations for companies to display notices: certain laws must be publicly available to employees. A Linchpin intranet and a Linchpin Touch implementation on large interactive screens can help – and not just for this application.

The JavaScript User Group Wiesbaden und Mainz (in German) has their twelfth meeting on the 26 January 2017, and we are hosting them at //SEIBERT/MEDIA. RheinMainJS is a user group focusing on JavaScript and related areas such as mobile development. A substantial number of industrial employees don’t have their own computer. Instead, they spend their entire day on the production floor. They are out of the loop and don’t have access to the company’s intranet. That’s why we are developing Linchpin Touch.
The draw.io Confluence add-on is ideal for creating professional diagrams of all types, but can be daunting for new users who have never worked with a diagramming tool before. We’ve now made available a growing collection of user documentation, cheat sheets and demonstration videos to help new users get comfortable with draw.io.
Too often with intranet projects, employees lose interest over time. The shininess of a new system wears off in the employees’ daily grind, and the intranet becomes a graveyard. Having spent a great deal of resources developing a great intranet, you don’t want this to happen! So, how can you keep their initial enthusiasm for the long run?
Today, early intranet adopters within companies face challenges convincing leadership to fund intranet development. Due to the digital transformation and, thus, an increased networking of people and information, there is great demand for next-generation internal communication. An intranet with more networking features – a social intranet – can meet this demand.
