The Atlassian Marketplace is huge. There are hundreds of developers offering thousands of apps on the platform for all imaginable scenarios. And finding the right solution on it is not so simple when it comes to specific problems and applications. To provide you with an overview, we have selected and compiled well-developed app solutions for use cases which customers always ask us about. The result is the new use case library in our knowledge base.
The App Center extends Confluence by offering users the ability to include links to web-based applications (Apps) that are being used within your company: Via a simple dialog, users can click and collect the apps that they use from a list of all available applications. Then they can go directly to exactly those applications that they need for their daily work. Version 1.3 of the App Center, providing more flexibility and new features for both users and administrators.
App Center is a Confluence app and also a part of the social intranet suite developed by us – Linchpin – which allows users to access the applications, tools and resources they frequently need for their daily work from within Confluence – for example, time tracking, other Atlassian tools, online applications, websites and so on. Now, administrators can configure the visibility of all apps in the selection dialog.
With scripts, you can extensively customize Jira (screens, custom fields, and more), automate complex workflows, create custom listeners to react to specific events, and enhance Jira’s reporting and integration capabilities. However, many scripting apps that plug into Jira don’t give you access to the full API, or use horribly complex scripting languages. But Power Scripts for Jira makes scripting easy.

The next Atlassian Summit is almost upon us! It’s the largest customer and user conference organized by the software developer. At the beginning of May, we flew with a 14-strong team to Barcelona. Our typical presence at the US event in San José on 12-14 September will be a little smaller this time, with a core team of five people. We are already on our way, heading for California.
