There are times when even agile teams can’t get around a certain level of planning. But, it can be quite challenging to balance daily tasks within a sprint along with the added pressure of a plan.
Since development teams organize their day-to-day operations in JIRA, Atlassian developed Portfolio for JIRA, which takes planning to a new level. The new plugin helps align product roadmaps with sprint planning, keep track of dependencies, manage team skills, and pose what-if questions.

Confluence and JIRA interact with one another very closely. In one of our live webinars, my colleague, Jan Kuntscher, and I demonstrate JIRA integration in Confluence. Not only do we show standard features such as individual operations, configurable process lists, and JIRA task list creation within Confluence, we also provide some helpful tips for features that may be unfamiliar to you.
We are preparing to be at the first European Atlassian Summit this year in Barcelona, and we’ll be there in full-force! It’s looking like it will be the biggest event this year as it’s an Atlassian Summit and Atlas Camp rolled into one event. From May 1 to May 5 you can join us and many others at the Placa de la Universitat and the Fira Barcelona Gran Via to learn all about the software in the Atlassian ecosystem, network with like-minded people, and have a lot of fun.
From 5 to 9 December 2016, one //SEIBERT/MEDIA employee joined 20 Atlassians from various locations around the world on a Foundation Trek to Cambodia, to see what great projects the Room to Read organization had implemented. Here are some impressions.
To encourage direct feedback in software development, Atlassian is constantly extending the capabilities of pull requests in its Git repository management system, Bitbucket Server. The new release 4.11 supports iterative reviews, which allows the development team to discuss the code changes in the context of a single pull request.
Some months ago, Atlassian added more functionality to HipChat, allowing teams to collaborate via video in the place where they are already chatting – directly in their HipChat room.
